living in Thailand on a pension, you need to cut out large rents and live on a small farm and control your budget #udonthani Rent is a big Expenses so try and cut it out and have more money for other things. Food in the Village is much less than in the City 18 liters drinking water is 15 baht. Local food markets 2 times a week for super value foods. My house cost 650,000 baht to build 4 bedrooms

Hi @charles, my names Shaun Sharples, I own 3 fish and chip restaurants in Pattaya but need an escape, looking at land in Udon Thani currently to build a fishing resort/homestay/restaurant. I was wondering if you could advise etc. Im looking at some really small studio lakeside chalets, between 4 and 6 not sure yet and main house. I watched your videos and you mentioned building work, is that something you do yourself. I maybe worth me taking a trip up your place if you dont mind and having a look at your bungalows.

Just dicovered your channel. Together with "Ryan & Mo - Life in Rural Thailand", channels like these have opened my eyes on the possibility of leasing a small piece of land(usufruct) and build a small house with a tropical garden. And perhaps add a carport with solar panels. Construction videos are my favorite, and its probably very rewarding for you to have projects, and build and develop your land. I have the same thing , at first I thought it was of robust construction but it did not last long due to the pipe that was used . It's thin.

Stay away from the bars and ladys and thailand is Extremly cheap to live in. Even me living and working here i a office in Krung thep(Bangkok) are spending less in a month total that my friends pay in RENT/electricity in Europe I often spend less than 20% of my salary total for living comfortable here.
I now spend very little as well When you don't drink and spend money on Woman at the bar My wife is less complicated living a quiet life

@@Charleslaw Are these plans approved by the government building department? That is stamped with building department seal. Do they have other house plans aside from yours?
@stchan8569 approved for our builds the architect can help with permissions and altercations the architect works in the government office sp he is well connected.
